Happy Place Golden Lager on tap for Kings Island’s 50th Anniversary

Platform Beer Company, located in Cleveland, Ohio and widely known for creative seasonal offerings and limited-edition taproom releases, collaborated with Kings Island to create a beer worth celebrating all summer long in support of the new concert series for Kings Island’s 50th Anniversary.
A sessionable golden lager, Happy Place pays tribute to a collision of old and new world hops. This brew is an easy-drinking lager with subtle notes of cereal, floral and soft spice.
“We are proud to support the 2022 Kings Island Concert Series at Timberwolf Amphitheatre. It was important for us to create a beer that paid tribute to the nostalgic experience that Kings Island offers. The return of live music at Timberwolf Amphitheatre continues this tradition of memorable moments – now enjoyed with a delicious Golden Lager,” said Brittany Foster, Marketing Director for Platform Beer Co.
Happy Place can be enjoyed at the park and in local community grocery and convenience stores near Kings Island.
Platform is also holding a sweepstakes where they are urging people to enter to win starting 5/15 through 7/31 for VIP tickets to the August 20 concert featuring Five for Fighting with special guest The Verve Pipe. Consumers can enter to win here: https://platformbeer.co/happyplace
Freddie Noe announced as 8th Generation
Master Distiller at James B. Beam Distilling
On Thursday, the James B. Beam Distilling Company celebrated more than two centuries of bourbon legacy by setting sights on the future with a historic announcement. As the First Family of Bourbon commemorated the completely revamped distillery homestead and visitor experience, Fred Noe, the James B. Beam Distilling Company’s 7th Generation Master Distiller, announced the appointment of Freddie Noe as Master Distiller of the Fred B. Noe Distillery.
“One of my biggest regrets is to never have distilled alongside my own father, Booker, so working side-by-side with Freddie will be a dream come true,” shared Fred in the release.
This is the first time in the history of JBBDCo that there are two family members, working alongside one another, sharing the Master Distiller title.
“It is an honor beyond words to follow in my father’s footsteps,” added Freddie Noe, Master Distiller of the Fred B. Noe Distillery. “I will continue to honor the 227 years of family craft and experience in my work every day by dedicating myself to making genuine quality whiskey while pushing the brand forward.”
While Fred Noe will maintain his role as Master Distiller, overseeing the James B. Beam Distilling Company’s portfolio of brands that include Jim Beam® Bourbon, Knob Creek® Bourbon, Basil Hayden® and others, Freddie Noe will oversee the Fred B. Noe Distillery as Master Distiller. In this role, Freddie will experiment with new fermentation, distillation, and blending techniques to produce category-defining and boundary-pushing whiskey of the highest quality. Freddie will also lead experiential distillation sessions and seminars with hands-on activities in the blending lab.
Post Meridiem adds two new cocktails to award-winning lineup
Just in time for summer, Post Meridiem Spirit Co. is introducing two new canned cocktails to its award-winning ready-to-drink lineup. Joining the roster are The London Dry Southside (52 proof) and The Modern Classic Cosmopolitan (54 proof).
The Modern Classic Cosmopolitan features an expertly balanced blend of vodka, 100% real lime juice, 100% real cranberry juice, and orange Curacao. When served over ice, the Post Meridiem Cosmopolitan is a vibrant pink hue that is as recognizable as its iconic namesake.
“I would put our Cosmo up against a bar-made counterpart any day of the week,” says Andrew Rodbell, co-founder of Post Meridiem Spirits.
The London Dry Southside is made with gin, 100% real lime juice, cane simple syrup, and a hint of garden mint. The result is a refreshing, crisp cocktail that’s perfect for poolside sips and summer get-togethers.
“We are thrilled to finally bring a great quality gin cocktail to the ready-to-drink space,” continues Rodbell. “Our customers have been asking for a gin cocktail since we started and we couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve created while staying true to our real-ingredient philosophy.”
Like all cocktails in the Post Meridiem lineup, the Cosmopolitan and Southside are full-strength, authentic cocktails in convenient 100 ml cans. Each cocktail recipe has been perfected by a mixologist, and is hand-crafted, filled, and packaged in Atlanta, GA. Both cocktails earned a silver medal at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Other cocktails in the Post Meridiem lineup include: The Real Lime Juice Margarita, The Double Old Fashioned, The 1944 Mai Tai, The Lemongrass Vodka Gimlet, and The No. Four Daiquiri.
The Southside and Cosmopolitan are now available at liquor stores, and at Post Meridiem’s facility lobby in West Midtown Atlanta. The full lineup is also available for direct-to-consumer shipping to 28 states via the brand’s website. For more information, visit postmeridiemspirits.com.
