Taste Test: Broken Barrel Whiskey Small Batch. This bourbon is finished in oak staves (40% French Oak Staves, 40% Ex-Bourbon Cask Staves, and 20% Sherry Cask Staves). I love what Broken Barrel is doing, but this one wasn’t my favorite. I enjoyed the California Oak more.
