Hannah Lowen, currently the VP of operations and incoming CEO, has been at New Riff Distilling since before the distillery opened. Hannah established New Riff’s operating systems, company branding and distillery programs as the company launched. Hannah talks (3:30 mark) about how she ended up at New Riff, has she always enjoyed bourbon, how New Riff has changed over the years, stepping into the CEO role, New Riff’s current $3 million restoration project, where their name comes from, what’s next and more.

What’s Pouring Kentucky (0:30 mark): Kismet’s Tonya Mays and Phil Cronin are teaming up with Local Feed’s Justin Thompson for Seed to Feed, a special charity dinner on June 30 and Eckert’s Orchard in Versailles is hosting its first-ever Peach Party and Vendor Fair on July 8. Slim Chickens has opened its first Lexington location while Tickle Pickle officially opened their first Northern Kentucky location in Fort Thomas and Pickle & Social is coming to Louisville’s East End in the fall of 2024. The Breeze at Greyline Station in Lexington is closing, but Darling Wine Bar is moving into the spot in July. Lastly, mark your calendars for Lexington Burger Week on July 10-16.
