Shipwreck Rum launches Wreckers, a new line of canned cocktails

Opici Wines & Spirits is pleased to introduce Shipwreck Rum’s newest venture “Wreckers,” a line of canned, ready-to-drink craft cocktails. Flavors include menu-favorite Mango Mojito, a nostalgia-inducing Vanilla Creamsicle, and lime-kissed Coconut Club at 6% alcohol each.
“My father and I have been Caribbean Rum-Runners for decades now, and this is definitely something new for us,” said Zach Brinley, Chief Bootlegger at Shipwreck Rum. “We know we’re not the first to can a cocktail, but there is always plenty of room for a true family-owned, all-natural, and delicious craft cocktail that you can feel good about while you’re enjoying.”
The 12oz cans provide a simple, portable way to feel like you’re on a beach wherever you are, without having to haul around bottles or mixers. The cans and can carriers are both 100% recyclable. Wreckers will continue to be involved in the St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network, donating a portion of all proceeds to help preserve and protect the wildlife.

Shipwreck Rum was founded by Zach and Bob Brinley on the island of St. Kitts in 2002, since expanding to include eight different rums. The three flavors will be available nationwide beginning May 2022, with a shelf-price of $14.99 for a 4-pack. The launch of Wreckers will also be supported by an off-premise tasting program.
Great Lakes Brewing announces seasonal Crushworthy variety pack
Great Lakes® Brewing Co. (GLBC) recently announced the release of Crushworthy® Collection, a new limited seasonal variety pack featuring Crushworthy Lo-Cal Citrus Wheat and three new real fruit varieties: Grapefruit, Lemon Lime, and Watermelon.
Crushworthy Lo-Cal Citrus Wheat, a low calorie wheat ale brewed with real citrus peel and purée, launched in 2021 as GLBC’s first entry into the better-for-you category. According to their release, the Crushworthy Collection introduces even more refreshing fruit pairings, all crafted with real fruit and just 105 calories and 4% ABV per can.
Crushworthy Collection launches in a 12 oz. can variety 12-Pack featuring three cans of each flavor, with colorful variations on Crushworthy’s award winning can design by illustrator Sam Hadley. The variety pack will release in all GLBC markets for a limited time beginning in early May.
A New Lineup of Schöfferhofer Hefeweizen Beers
Arriving in time for the bright days of spring and before the hot days of summer, Radeberger Gruppe USA is promising a new round of happiness with the debut of not one, but two new offerings: Schöfferhofer Juicy Pineapple and Schöfferhofer Wild Cherry, the latter within the brand’s first-ever national variety pack, known affectionately as the Schöfferhofer “Happy Pack.”
Schöfferhofer Juicy Pineapple is the latest addition to the portfolio of award-winning German wheat beers which includes Grapefruit, Pomegranate, and Passion Fruit. This tropically delicious offering is a mix of authentic, unfiltered German hefeweizen beer with 50% pineapple juice and will be available in 11.2oz bottles (6-packs and cases), and in kegs for on-premise locations. Just like all beers in the Schöfferhofer family, Juicy Pineapple is a low alcohol offering at 2.5% ABV and will be available nationally in April 2022.
Schöfferhofer Wild Cherry is a blend of crisp, slightly sweet-tart cherry juice and smooth German wheat beer creating a lip-smacking, refreshing experience. It will be packaged within the brand’s first-ever variety pack. The Schöfferhofer “Happy Pack” will feature three each of Schöfferhofer Wild Cherry, Schöfferhofer Grapefruit, Schöfferhofer Pomegranate and Schöfferhofer Passion Fruit—a dozen reasons to be happy—all in convenient 11.2-ounce slim cans.
